Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), but it is frequently overshadow by its much larger and glitzier neighbor Dubai, which is only an hour away. This is a fantastic place to spend a few days like the Dubai city tour because it is frequently much cheaper than Dubai, and there are more and more tourist attractions opening all the time! It is also a very safe city. While Arabic is the official language, English is widely spoken due to the city's large ex-pat population. So let me share tourist attractions, restaurants, and hotels with you in this comprehensive guide to Abu Dhabi City Tour!

Things to See In Abu Dhabi City Tour

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque, also known as The Grand Mosque, is Abu Dhabi's most famous attraction, and for good reason: it is breathtaking! Many consider this to be the most beautiful mosque in the world, with its white marble walls, 82 intricately detailed domes, and reflective pools in the courtyard. It also houses the world's largest carpet and third-largest chandelier (both covered in Swarovski crystals) and is one of the world's largest mosques (it can hold a staggering 40,000 people inside)! It cost half-billion dollars to build!

You must dress appropriately because it is a holy place of worship. Women will be given an abaya to wear if necessary, as they must be cover from their wrists to their ankles and have their hair covered. What al Karama park is located across from Sheikh Zayed Mosque and provides an excellent view of the mosque. Even at sunset, there are very few people here.

Louvre Abu Dhabi

Even if you don't like museums, the impressive Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, just a 10-minute drive from downtown Abu Dhabi, is well worth a visit. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2017, is the first of its kind outside of France. The structure itself is a work of art; the roof is metallic and resembles a cosmic dome! Natural light filters through the latticework, creating a lovely illusion on the inside. The collections here are very impressive, encompassing civilizations from ancient times to the present. They also have works by Monet, Da Vinci, and Van Gogh.

Corniche

In Abu Dhabi city tour, a walk along the Corniche (seafront) is a must. It stretches for 8 kilometers along the coast, but the most popular section is near the Corniche Beach/Family Beach area, which is just a few minutes’ walk from Emirates Palace.

The Corniche's pedestrianized promenade is very elegant and relaxing, and there are several restaurants and cafes along the way that offer beautiful views of the beachfront.

When to go on the City Tour of Abu Dhabi?

The cooler months of October to April are ideal for visiting Abu Dhabi. This is when the weather is the nicest and the majority of tourists go on Abu Dhabi City Tour. Temperatures reach over 40 degrees Celsius (105 degrees Fahrenheit) daily from May to September. The UAE is extremely hot and humid in the summer, and despite the excellent air conditioning. It is extremely difficult to cope with the outside temperatures. During this time, locals and residents even avoid going outside as much as possible. Hotel prices, on the other hand, are much lower because there are far fewer people around.
